Rod Ladman’s Window Designs is one of the premier sellers and installers of quality window treatments in the Lakes Region, and can be your one stop shopping for any motorized window covering needs you may have for your Albany NH home.
We are a full service Hunter Douglas dealer for Albany NH, but we also sell and install several other high quality brands of window treatments throughout the Carroll County and central New Hampshire area, including J.Geiger Shading, Alta Window Fashions, Norman Window Shutters, and Graber Blinds and Shades, and Comfortex Window Fashions
Besides the plethora of stock items we have available, we also work with artisan Karin Conn, a skilled fabricator who can create all kinds of custom-made soft furnishings in her workroom. This allows our customers the wonderful ability to choose from the standard catalogs of winow covering products (with thousands of choices), or opt for one of a kind treatments that are unique because they are largely created from your vision.
We have been in the window treatment business for more than 40 years, but we still enjoy meeting new clients. We would love to come out to your Albany NH home and assess your window decor needs. Our consulting sessions and measuring services are always completely free with absolutely no obligation

Some Thoughts On Headers In Window Treatments
The fabric that extends above the rod pocket is called the “header” and just utilizing this simple feature can alter the feel and perception of a window treatment. The standard thinking is, the taller the header, the more feminine and romantic the look will be. Wide headers, which are three inches or more tall, can flop forward randomly if lined in a contrasting fabric, adding design interest to the top edge. Narrow one inch or two inch headers, give valances a less fussy and more classic appearance than a wide header. These work well if the rod pocket is sized for a one inch wide curtain rod or pole. The absence of a header gives a sophisticated and more streamlined look, especially if the valance features an ample rod pocket for a two inch wide curtain rod or pole.
