CREATING NEW LOOK DRAPERY TIEBACKS

If you’ve been grappling with whether to have your drapery panels left alone and just have them hang straight from the window or pull them back, yoi should consider the design effects that are provided by a rope tassel or even a vintage tieback holder. Pulling drapes to the side of the window can create a graceful curved line, which is a solution that makes sense in boxy spaces. When selecting tiebacks, be inventive.. Men’s ties lend a preppy look when they are in a den, and drapery holdbacks made from baseballs which have been cut in half, make a fun accent in a child’s room. Let your imagination run wild!

When installing tiebacks, remember that their placement on the window can affect the shape of the panels. You should avoid centering a tieback in the middle of a panel, which would divide the window in two. A more pleasing proportion can be attained when the drae has been pulled back in the top half or the lower half of the window.
